In this workshop, you’ll explore the colors, philosophy, and impact of New Nordic Cuisine in a gallery exhibit at Norway House in Minneapolis. After experiencing the exhibit, you’ll capture your own food memories and reflections, reflected by writing instructor Brenda Hudson. Through simple and fun writing prompts, you’ll be encouraged to explore the ways in which food and memory intersect, and to use sensory details to create vivid and evocative descriptions of your experiences. Food samples and a never-ending flow of coffee will be available to help spur your creativity.

Whether you’re a seasoned foodie who wants to enhance your food writing, simply curious about cuisine (Nordic or not), or you want to kickstart a memoir, this workshop is open to all. No prior writing experience is required; just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore the rich and complex world of food memories.

During the break, you’ll have the opportunity to sample some delicious Nordic treats and refreshments, and to connect with fellow writers.

Gallery fee is included in the price of the class.
